Popped by the Westway and bumped into Ralph, who showed me the centre’s new garden. My charity, The Friendship Project, donated £2,500 last year to part-fund the remodelling of the garden. The veg they’re growing was so good it would make Gromit proud (luckily no sign of a were-rabbit on this occasion) 
The reason I was there was to meet the team from East Surrey Dial-a-ride. They’re in a tough situation at the moment with funding. I know how much of an impact this service has in the community – one of the drivers told me a story where he saved an older lady’s life a few years ago. I’ll be taking their concerns up with Surrey County Council to see if more funding can be allocated. Fingers crossed
