My question in the House about more refuge spaces for women

Tuesday, 26 October, 2021

One of the really important parts of breaking the domestic abuse cycle is providing safe spaces for women to go to if they need them.

I'm pleased that the Minister responsible agreed to meet with Surrey County Council, Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid (RBWA), and I to discuss the innovative model that's been created here in East Surrey.

Huge credit to Charlotte Kneer of RBWA for all of her outstanding work on this. I hope it can be used to help provide more refuge spaces for women across the country.

If you'd like to help support the wonderful work being done by Charlotte and team, you can make a donation by clicking here.
