Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond and share their thoughts on potential traffic management solutions in my recent survey. Almost 33% of the whole village responded, which is extremely useful. You can find the survey report in the PDF link below.
The results show a strong appetite for a range of potential short- and long-term solutions for when the road reopens - with a 20mph restriction (81 per cent) and reducing HGV traffic (83 per cent) being the two most popular measures.
I will be writing to Surrey County Council to begin a conversation around how we move forward with these two measures.
A longer-term ambition for a form of bypass was also popular (66 per cent), so I will investigate whether this could be included in any work to upgrade Junction 6.
