Yesterday, it was my pleasure to bring together groups involved with my local charity, The Friendship Project, and thank the legends who volunteer tirelessly behind the scenes.
I set up the project four years ago to help groups across East Surrey tackle loneliness. Since then, I’m thrilled to say we have distributed over £16,000 in grants, helping fund coffee mornings, trips to the seaside, venue renovations, and everything in between.
I’m so proud of what we have achieved so far.
This lovely day would not have been possible without Peter Chan MBE of Herons Bonsai, my exceptionally wonderful team who organised it, and the brilliant volunteers we have in East Surrey.
Thanks to many generous donations, we have £8,000 more to donate - so if you help run a community group and would like to learn how we might be able to help, do get in touch at [email protected].
