Cushioning Period for Godstone Businesses - Letter to Valuation Office Agency

When Godstone's High Street eventually reopens, it’s important local business rates reflect that the disruption has changed people’s habits. 

With the community effectively split in half as a result of the collapse, those who would have previously popped into the village are no longer doing so. Those habits will not readjust immediately.

I have written to the Valuation Office Agency to ask that they work with the local authority to introduce a cushioning period so businesses have enough time to get back on their feet. You can read my letter below 👇🏽
