I had a FANTASTIC visit to Merstham Park School to see their incredible art exhibition.
Words can’t describe how blown away I was with the pupils’ talent. Ewura’s artwork – the painting of her grandmother in particular – was nothing short of spectacular.
Thank you also to Davi and India for showing me around and sharing their enthusiasm for education and the performing arts, two future stars no doubt.
I also touched on the problem of phones and social media with Headteacher Mr Mitchell and Head of Art Mrs Eckersall. Teachers are on the frontline in dealing with this, so they were pleased action is being taken in Westminster.
Thank you again to the students and teachers of Merstham Park School. This year’s exhibition will be a very hard act to follow, but I can’t wait to see what they muster up next time!
