Claire raises the case of a local resident trying to bring her Ukrainian mother here to safety

My (brilliant!) team and I have been working around the clock with three Ukrainian families from East Surrey who have been trying to bring their loved ones here to safety.

I am pleased to report that one resident has now left Ukraine, one is currently on their way to a neighbouring country, and yesterday I raised the case of another directly with the Home Secretary.

I have since been in contact with her team at the Home Office, who are working at speed to provide as much assistance as they can.
